Rising Table by Robert van Embricqs
The Rising Table by young Dutch architect Robert van Embricqs is another example of human ingenuity. Coming up with a beautiful and (reasonably) functional object that folds into a flat form is amazing. The Rising Table is part of van Embricqs prize winning rising furniture series.

Festo SmartInversion
The innovative German tech-company Festo has developed a new kind of flying object they call the SmartInversion. It's a lightweight balloonlike object filled with helium, that moves forwards by folding in on itself.
