The WWF has set up an European Union funded programme for sustainable production and processing of rattan in the Mekong region.
To showcase the abilities of rattan, the WWF has worked together with Swedish designers and graduates from Lund University as well as local companies in the Mekong region. The results of this cooperation were on display at the 2011 Ambiente fair in Frankfurt/Main. On the projects Flickr page you can see some of the products.
