TEK building by BIG architects
















Architecture is coming up with amazing new shapes. Not all of them make sense to me. Some I see as just sculptures, or monuments to their creators. Some buildings though strike me as good ideas. A synthesis of location, human needs, materials and purpose. The TEK building by Danish BIG architects for Taipey, Taiwan is one of these. A spiral walkway opening up this 57 m high cube for light and visitors to flood through. The full story on designboom does the project more justice, than my few words …
