Crystal Castles in Mexico

Whoa, can't believe what I'm seeing here. I enjoy scavenging the alps for crystals. Finding a piece the size of a little finger is absolutely exhilarating. But stepping into this cave in Mexico … The National Geographic-team have visited the cave discovered in 2000 by Mexican miners. The gypsum-crystals have grown undisturbed over a period of 600'000 years. At a depth of 1000 metres the conditions of extreme heat and humidity are only bearable with special cooling suits.
